Tie and Wind bicycle trek realized through support of VivaCell-MTS
“Tie and Wind” bicycle trek was organized in the frames of Sunchild International Environmental Protection Festival. The event was organized together with Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets of Armenia and Amateur Cycling and Cycling Tourism Federation. Like other events of the project, “Tie and Wind” was also realized through the support of general partner of the foundation - VivaCell-MTS, according to the company’s press service.
More than 60 cyclers from Freedom Square cycled through basic streets in Yerevan, wearing official costumes. The tour had the goal of getting the attention of the society on air pollution, car overload in big communities, and to stress the importance of starting cycling culture in the cities.
Representatives of state, social and educational institutions and citizens who support this idea took participation in the cycling.
Director of Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets of Armenia Ruben Khachatryan participated in the race with a bicycle with electric motor which he uses over a year. “Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets of Armenia together with UNO has started implementing the project called “Green movement” which is meant to support the investment of electric bicycles”, said Ruben Khachatryan.
