Permaykov case to go to court in next few days: Zhoghovurd
The case of Russian soldier Valery Permyakov charged with murder of the Avetisyan family in Gyumri will go to the general jurisdiction court of Armenia’s Shirak province in the next few days.
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper writes that the legal successors of the victims submitted a number of petitions after the preliminary investigation was completed. In particular, one petition requested that investigators verify the theory that Permyakov’s involvement in a religious organization could prompt him to commit that crime.
The paper says that it emerged after the Gyumri murders that Permyakov’s father is a spiritual mentor of the sect ‘Faith, hope, Love’. According to ‘Zhogovurd’, the preliminary investigation did not pay attention to that fact.
