Yerevan hosts meeting of US-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force
“We highly appreciate the friendly relations and cooperation between Armenia and the United States and will do our best to extend the opportunities of trade and investment between the two countries,” Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan said at the meeting of US-Armenia Joint Economic Task Force.
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Bridget Brink, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills, and other officials attend the meeting that started in Yerevan today.
The first meeting of the U.S.-Armenia Council on Trade and Investment was held in Yerevan earlier in the week, on November 17. Gabrielyan said the important issues discussed at the meeting will allow expanding Armenian-American trade and economic cooperation.
According to Vache Gabrielyan, numerous problems that have been later solved were discussed at such meetings over many years. He pointed out the signing of US-Armenia Trade and Investment Framework Agreement as a significant achievement.
