Armenian president meets with James Stavridis and Aso Tavitian
President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received today the Dean of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (The Fletcher School) at Tufts University in the US, Admiral James Stavridis, and the Founder and President of the Tavitian Foundation, Armenian American benefactor Aso Tavitian, the presidential press service reported.
The sides discussed the ongoing cooperation between the Tavitian Foundation and the Fletcher School, which allows talented youths from Armenia to study at the Fletcher School, with scholarships provided by the Tavitian Foundation. After completing their studies, over 250 graduates of the program returned to Armenia so as to put their knowledge to good use in the homeland.
The Foundation also funds the visits of deans and lecturers of the Fletcher School to Armenia so as they could get to know the Armenians and geopolitical realities.
The interlocutors also discussed topical international issues and challenges, as well as regional developments.
