Speaker of Armenian parliament G. Sahakyan presents awards to Puppet Theatre workers
On November 20 Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Galust Sahakyan handed certificates of honor and appreciation of NA Speaker to a group of workers of Yerevan State Puppet Theatre after H. Tumanyan on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the theatre, according to the press service of the Armenian parliament.
Congratulating the recipients, G. Sahakyan said that the theatre is a guarantee of cultural development of a nation, while a puppet theatre is a school of bringing up our kids and forming our system of values. He said that it is in the puppet theatre that works of H. Tumanyan, D. Demirchyan, G. Aghayan and other writers find eternity, becoming available to children.
Director of the Puppet Theatre R. Babayan thanked Galust Sahakyan on behalf of the theatre staff and presented the parliament speaker with the statue of the invincible cock, the symbol of Tumanyan Puppet Theatre.
