‘Yes and No’ show ahead of referendum in Armenia: Two campaigners find ‘mother’ and ‘expert’ of demagogy
The team of the campaign office of No Front opposed to the constitutional reform in Armenia knows exactly what it opposes, ex-deputy minister of national security of Armenia Gurgan Yeghiazaryan said today while campaigning ahead of the December 6 constitutional referendum. He was speaking in Spitak city of Lori Province during ‘Yes and No’ reality show.
When asked by a Spitak resident to explain exactly what he opposes, G. Yeghiazaryan replied: “Will anything change after my explanation?”
In this connection Margarit Yesayan – an MP of the faction of ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), a member of Yes Front that supports the constitutional reform – said: “If you explain well, something may change”. “I will be able to explain well because I know what I am opposed to,” the former deputy minister said.
A heated debate began between Yeghiazaryan and Yesayan who started trading reproaches. “You are an expert of demagogy!” M. Yesayan declared. “And you are the mother of demagogy,” retorted Yeghiazaryan.
‘Yes and No’ joint television project of Armnews and A1+ Companies was launched on November 13. The reality show is broadcast by Armnews TV Channel 12 hours a day and can also be viewed at the website of A1+. 16 political and public figures travel to Armenian regions during the reality show.
