Vahan Hamazaspyan: Armenia should shift to solar power
We have been studying issues of using solar energy equipment in Armenia for 22 years, but the program has not yet been realized, Doctor of Technical Sciences, head of a solar power program Vahan Hamazaspyan said at a press conference today.
“The program we have proposed is convenient for Armenia economically, but we do not get assistanc,” he said adding that under the current economic conditions it would be wrong to ignore the program.
Candidate of Technical Sciences Grigor Mnatsakanyan told reporters that he recently participated in a forum in Kiev where solar power programs were discussed.
“Our multifunctional equipment aroused great interest there, even among representatives of EU countries,” he said.
