Zhogjovurd: Armenia may gain economic benefits from Russia-Turkey relationship deterioration
‘Zhoghovurd’ paper says the deterioration in Russian-Turkish relations is already affecting economic cooperation. Following the Western sanctions against Russia, it was Turkish goods that were the main obstacle to Armenian commodities in Russian market. Armenian manufacturers in fact could not compete due to low prices of Turkish goods.
The current situation offers a chance to take a stable position in the Russian market. If Armenian manufacturers are able to take their place in the multimillion market before Russian-Turkish relations stabilize, it could be a serious achievement.
