Wine fair& sampling opens in Yerevan
A wine fair& sampling opened in Northern Avenue of Yerevan today, on November 28. A wide range of wines made from grapes, pomegranates, fruits and berries are displayed.
Over 20 companies are participating in the fair organized by Armenian Agriculture Ministry and Yerevan Municipality . The event will last until November 29.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Robert Makaryan and Deputy Mayor of Yerevan David Ohanyan were among the first visitors of the wine fair& sampling.
4 million liters of wines were produced in Armenia in nine months of 2015, the ministry official said.
According to him, the purpose of such fairs is to raise the awareness about domestic products, promote a culture of wine sale, and develop tourism.
