Several roads barely passable in Armenia due to snowstorm
All Interstate and republican motorways in Armenia were open to traffic as of 9:30 am on Friday, December 4, Ministry of Transport and Communication reported.
A number of roads such as Hrazdan-Hankavan, Vayk-Saravan, Sisian-Zanger and Goris-Sisian motorways as well as the serpentine road in Tigranashen are barely passable due to the snowstorm and low visibility. Vardeniats mountain pass is closed. Roads in Sevan region are covered with black ice. Ice and snow removal operations are underway to ensure safe driving conditions. Drivers are urged to use only winter tires.
