On the instructions of Armenia’s prosecutor general, the Shengavit unit of the Yerevan police is urgently preparing materials in connection with the report about a double voting incident at polling station No 11/3 during the constitutional referendum, Panorama.am learned from the press service of Prosecutor General’s Office.
The website of Transparency International Hayastan NGO earlier released information that during the constitutional referendum a man voted twice at polling station No 11/3 in Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district: after casting a ballot he changed his clothes and came again to vote. The NGO said another fact of double voting was also documented at the same polling station.
Voting in the national referendum on the constitutional amendments started at 1,997 polling stations across Armenia at 8:00 am on Sunday, December 6. Six international and 18 local observer organizations are observing the referendum. Voting will end at 8:00 pm Yerevan time.
