Vilen Shatvoryan commends compatriots’ readiness to popularize culture and history of Armenians in Ukraine
Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine Vilen Shatvoryan highly appreciated the readiness of compatriots to help popularize the history and culture of Armenians of Ukraine. He said this, when commenting on a recent roundtable with the participation of famous figures. “It means that we are on the right track,” the union chairman stressed.
Shatvoryan said he is proud of the achievements of talented members of the Armenian Diaspora. “I am sure that joint efforts will allow us to reach further success in many areas,” he stated.
A roundtable entitled “Armenians of Ukraine; History and Modern Times” took place in Kiev on December 10.
Issues relating to the Armenian Diaspora, its role, opportunities and prospects were discussed at the event whose participants voiced a range of opinions about ways to establish closer cooperation between members of the public and the Union of Armenians of Ukraine.
The roundtable organizers described it as an unprecedented event that brought together many famous Armenian figures.
