Tavsuh province officials draw OSCE Mission’s attention to Azerbaijani gunfire at Armenian villages
A regular briefing of the OSCE Mission took place in the administration of Armenia’s Tavush province. Governor of Tavush Levon Sargsyan conducted the briefing, according to the press service of the regional administration.
The participants included representative of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Andranik Mkrtumyan, official of Armenian Foreign Ministry Vahe Gevorgyan, Field Assistants of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Yevgeny Sharov (Ukraine) and Jiri Aberle (Czech Republic).
During the briefing the OSCE representatives were informed about the situation on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan and ceasefire violation statistics. Concern was expressed over the fact that the Azerbaijani side constantly opens fire on Armenian border settlements, preventing local residents from gathering the harvest.
Following the briefing, the OSCE Mission conducted monitoring in the direction of Azerbaijan’s Gazakh region.
