New deputy head of Union of Armenians of Ukraine named
Levon Gulyan has become the new deputy chairman of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine, according to AnalitikaUA.net.
At the suggestion of the Union’s chairman Vilen Shatvoryan, Fr. Levon Gulyan who earlier served as head of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the south of Ukraine and as leader of the parish of St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Odessa has been appointed deputy chairman of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine with the aim of further strengthening of ties between the clergy and the community, according to the Union’s administration.
The Union of Armenians of Ukraine is the first NGO in Ukraine to have been included in the EU Transparency Register. The Union is expected to open a representation in Brussels soon.
