Defense Ministry of NKR: Azerbaijan violated ceasefire over 180 times
Yesterday, on December 16, and the night of December 17 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire over 180 times on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
During that period Azerbaijani frontline units fired about 1,800 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers, 60mm (144 shells), 82mm (117 shells) and 120mm mortars (3 shells), as well as grenade launchers such as ‘Mukha’ (2 shells), SPG-9 (5 shells), AGS-17 (55 shells) and RPG-7 (6 shells).
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army are in control of the operational situation and take punitive actions if necessary.
