Karabakh Defense Army takes punitive actions to halt offensive activity of Azerbaijani side
Armed clashes continued on the night of December 19 on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
During that period the Azerbaijani side fired over 3,500 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers, 60mm (143 shells), 82mm (258 shells) and 120mm mortars (25 shells), and SPG-9 (one shell), RPG-7 (3 shells) and AGS-17 (40 shells) grenade launchers.
Azerbaijan also used armored vehicles (tank/3 shells), ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun (2 shells) and Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launchers (one shell).
The frontline units of Karabakh Defense Army took punitive actions to halt offensive activity of the enemy and continued to perform confidently their military duties.
