Armenian NA speaker: If Azerbaijan doesn’t understand peace by language of talks we can use other means
Prior to the start of an extraordinary session on Monday, December 21, the Speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan spoke about the tense situation that emerged in recent days on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
“In recent day the enemy again resorted to subversive actions at various sections of the Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact. The Armenian side took at least proportionate actions and gave a rebuff to the enemy who suffered losses and was thrown back to the previous positions.
If our perfidious neighbor fails to understand peace through a language of negotiations, we are prepared to use other means and another language to explain it to him. This has been repeatedly proven by our efficient armed forces and will be more painful for them. Unfortunately, the Armenian side has suffered casualties because of recent subversive acts of Azerbaijan,” Galust Sahakyan said.
At his suggestion, the MPs observed a minute of silence to honor the Armenian heroes “who have defended their native land and our security at the cost of their lives”.
