Man, 32, wanted in murder of Yerevan betting shop employee
A 32-year-old man is wanted by the Armenian police on suspicion of committing a holdup of Goodwin Bet betting shop in Yerevan and killing an employee of the betting shop, Arthur Nazaryan, according to the press service of Armenia’s Investigative Committee.
“The evidence collected during the investigation of the criminal case shows that a 32-year-old resident of Yerevan committed the assault on the betting shop owned by Goodwin Bet OJSC,” the IC said in a statement.
The investigator decided that the 32-year-old should be charged under the Criminal Code’s Article 104 part 4 (murder for mercenary motives, combined with extortion, robbery or banditry) and Article 175 part 2 point 4 (robbery committed with a weapon or other objects used as weapons).
A petition was filed on the same day to the general jurisdiction court of Yerevan’s Shengavit administrative district to use detention as a measure of restraint against the man. The petition was granted. The man is wanted by the police,” the statement says.
As was reported, the body of betting shop employee Arthur Nazaryan with numerous stabs was found yesterday in Goodwin Bet betting shop.
