Defense Ministry of NKR: Azerbaijani troops fired 8,000 shots at Armenian positions in a week
On December 20-26, armed clashes took place on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, during which Azerbaijani troops fired about 8,000 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers, as well as 60mm, 82mm and 120mm mortars and SPG-9, RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
During that period the Azerbaijani side also used a 122-mm howitzer D-30, Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launcher and ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft gun.
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army are in full control of the frontline situation and continue carrying out confidently their military duties.
