Armenian PM answers question about non-working days during New Year and Christmas holidays
An extraordinary session of the Armenian government took place today. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan presided over the session held to discuss the issue of non-working days during the New Year and Christmas holidays – an issue of concern for the public.
The PM said he was constantly asked that question, but no changes are expected regarding non-working days, moreover, the government members will start working on January 4. The government did not take a decision about that.
It is noted that the New Year holidays will be observed from December 31, 2015, to January 3, 2016. January 4 and 5 are Christmas Eve. The Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ on January 6. January 7 is a remembrance day. Working days start in Armenia on January 8.
