All roads in Armenia partly covered with black ice
Most Armenian roads were passable as of 11:00 am on Monday, January 4, according to the press service of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
A number of motorways such as Sotk-Karvachar, Goris-Sisian and Berd-Chambarak motorways and Vardeniats mountain pass are closed.
Rural and intercommunity roads in Gegharkunik province are closed as well. It is snowing lightly in Shirak province.
All roads in the country are partly covered with black ice.
Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to all types of vehicles with antiskid chains, Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry said.
