Armenia receives $40 million in humanitarian aid in January – November 2015
,525.5 tons of goods worth 19.1 billion drams or $40 million were brought into Armenia as humanitarian aid in January- November 2015, according to cargo declarations submitted to customs officials, Armenian Finance Ministry said.
Products of chemistry and related industrial sectors accounted for 45.3% of the humanitarian aid received, according to the National Statistical Service. Devices and instruments accounted for 12.3%., textiles - 7.5%, industrial goods - 7.5%, machines, equipment and mechanisms – 7.5%, footwear, headgear, and umbrellas – 3.5%, and other goods – 16.4%.
In the period under review, the U.S. provided 23% of humanitarian aid to Armenia, EU countries 23.8%, CIS countries 1.4%, Switzerland 23.2%, and China – 11.7%.
