Health ministry of Armenia: No epidemic of flu and acute respiratory infections in the country
Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan held a consultation with Health Ministry experts and representatives of medical centers to discuss the situation with infectious and non-infectious diseases in Armenia, the press service of Health Ministry reported.
According to experts, daily rounds, collection of information, and epidemiological analyses show there is no epidemic of flu and acute respiratory infections in Armenia.
There has been a seasonal rise in flue and acute respiratory infection cases because of a sharp drop in temperatures. There has been an increase in pneumonia cases as a result of patients’ engaging in self-treatment and seeking medical attention too late.
