Closed roads, snow reported in some regions of Armenia
Most roads were passable in Armenia as of 10 am on Tuesday, January 5, according to the press service of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
Sotk-Karvachaar, Goris-Sisian, Meghri-Kapan, Hrazdan-Jrarat, Sevan-Vardenis, Tashir-Blagodarnoye roads and Vardeniats mountain pass are closed.
Many rural and intercommunity roads in Gegharkunik province are closed. Sevan-Vardenis motorway is closed duu to bad weather conditions.
It is lightly snowing in Aragatsotn province, A strong wind and snow were reported in Shirak province.
All roads in Armenia are partly covered with black ice.
Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to all types of vehicles with antiskid chains, according to Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry.
