Doctors save life of 28-year-old woman in childbirth: Armenian Health Ministry
Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan held a consultation with leading medical experts at Surb Grigor Lusavorich medical center in Yerevan, the ministry’s press service said.
The consultation participants discussed the condition of a 28-year-old pregnant woman admitted to the medical center on December 31. The doctors managed to save the woman who was in critical condition. During the consultation a decision was taken to continue the patient’s drug therapy.
Doctors had performed a C-section on 26-week pregnant woman. They delivered a baby weighing 1 kg 200 grams. Positive signs are reported in the condition of the newborn kept at Surb Grigor Lusavorich Center.
The condition of 55 patients in the ICU unit of Armenia’s medical center was also examined during the consultation.
The minister instructed the country’s chief medical experts to pay constant attention to all the patients in grave condition so as to assess their health and continue providing proper treatment.
As was reported, Health Ministry set up a rapid response group. The group has visited various medical institutions. According to the group, as of December 6 there were 433 cases of flu and acute respiratory infections in Armenia. 97 people were diagnosed with pneumonia.
