Defense Ministry of NKR: Azerbaijan fired 4,500 shots at Armenian positions in first week of 2016
A relative calm along the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan continued during the New Year holidays, the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic said in a statement.
On January 1-7 the Azerbaijani side fired about 4,500 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers.
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army are in control of the situation and continue to perform confidently their military duties, the source said.
