G. Yeghiazaryan: Armenia acts in line with international norms, should not yield to Baku’s provocations
Regarding the Karabakh conflict, Armenia has so far acted in line with international norms. Azerbaijan resorts to provocations, and the Armenian side should not give way to such provocations, ex-Deputy Minister of National Security of Armenia Gurgen Yeghiazaryan told a press conference today.
“Some countries are keen on engaging in a conflict. As for the actions of Armenia, I should assess them as excellent. Our servicemen need to train properly so as to be able to give a fitting rebuff to any subversion and also defend our positions, while avoiding losses,” Yeghiazaryan said.
Another participant in the press conference, ex-deputy of the Supreme Council Azat Arshakyan stressed the need to deliver a more powerful counterblow to Azerbaijan and also to guarantee the security of servicemen.
“No need to show understanding – the enemy should be given to understand that even a single shot from their side may have serious consequences for them. The authorities should value lives of our servicemen,” Arshakyan noted.
