LOTTO 6/49 ticket worth $7 million sold in Canada’s Welland area
This weekend is a winning weekend for lottery players in Ontario! The winning ticket worth$7,034,292.90 for the LOTTO 6/49 draw on Saturday, January 9, 2016 was sold in the Welland area, CNW reported.
There was also a second prize winning ticket, worth $90,681.40, sold in the province.
Since LOTTO 6/49 was launched in June 1982, there has been a total of 3,336 LOTTO 6/49 draws with Ontario players having won more than $11 billion in prizes, including 1,317 jackpot wins. There have been 276 Guaranteed $1 Million Prize draws to date. One hundred and seventeen of the winning tickets have been sold in Ontario.
