There is no flu and acute respiratory disease epidemic in Armenia: Health Ministry
There is no epidemic of flu and acute respiratory infections in Armenia, and preventive measures are underway, according to the press service of Armenian Health Ministry.
“According to an analysis of the rapid response group of Health Ministry, the number of patients in grave condition remains virtually the same. Their treatment is being supervised by medical specialists and Minister Armen Muradyan personally. On his instructions, members of the rapid response group set up by Health Ministry are following the treatment of patients in clinics of Yerevan and Armenian regions. Employees of the Ministry’s State Health Inspectorate are conducting large-scale studies,” the Ministry said in a statement, noting the hospitals and polyclinics have all the necessary medication.
“We are grateful to all organizations, the mass media and citizens who show vigilance and assist the ministry with preventing panic among the population. We urge citizens to focus on reliable professional information received from official sources aimed at increasing vigilance of the population and healthcare structures”, the statement says.
