Hraparak: Mikhail Baghdasarov offered post of Georgian Airlines’ vice president
The owner of Armavia airline Mikhail Baghdasarov was offered the post of vice president of Georgian Airlines, ‘Hraparak’ paper writes.
“I paid off the debts of Armavia at the expense of Mika Cement I started from scratch,” Baghdasarov said in an interview with Newmag when speaking about the bankruptcy of the first and only national carrier of Armenia – Armavia, which was founded in 1996 and stopped operating in 2013 as it was declared bankrupt.
“It is noteworthy that because of low quality service and high prices, Armenians in recent years have preferred to fly Georgian Airlines. There were conflicting rumors about Armavia’s bankruptcy. In particular, the businessman is sad to have gone bankrupt because of his remarks about the ex-PM, but the fact is that the bankruptcy was a result of inefficient management.
Thus, our neighbors will either create problems with their own hands or prove that rumors about Baghdasarov’s poor management were groundless.” the paper notes.
