Ambulance service of Armenia responded to 9,611 calls during New Year season
The ambulance service of Armenia responded to 9,611 calls during the New Year holidays, which was by 830 calls more than in the same period of last year, Chief of Ambulance CJSC Taguhi Stepanyan said at a press conference today.
According to her, the largest number of calls (900) was made on January 7, 2016.
Most calls were related to cardiovascular disease and acute respiratory infections. 567 people were hospitalized.
Food poisoning cases have declined – there were only two such cases.
The number of ambulance calls reached 238,216 in 2015, increasing by 5.2% compared to 2014, T. Stepanyan said.
