Health Ministry of Armenia: Fewer citizens apply to medical institutions due to flu and acute respiratory infections
Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan conducted today a meeting with heads of Yerevan polyclinics and healthcare executives of Yerevan Municipality. He said that human lives have been saved thanks to large-scale preventive measures and round-the-clock work of the healthcare system. The details are given by the press service of the ministry.
Head of the municipality’s health department Kamsar Babinyan said that 12,584 citizens sought medical aid in the holiday period (until January 12). The epidemiological situation with flu and acute respiratory infections is quiet. The number of patients applying to polyclinics has declined in recent days.
The minister gave instructions to monitor health of pregnant women, the patients who recovered, and children, and make rounds.
He also told the officials to intensify activities of the primary health care institutions to relieve the workload of hospitals and prevent infections there.
