Swine flu death toll reaches 11: Health Ministry of Armenia
Another death due to the H1N1 (swine flu) virus was reported in Armenia, according to the press service of Armenian Health Ministry.
A woman, 60, who suffered from diabetes and ischemic heart disease died in Erebuni Medical Center of Yerevan yesterday, on January 13. It was confirmed that she was infected with influenza A (H1N1) virus. Thus the number of people who died from swine flu has reached 11 in Armenia.
As of 10:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 948 people were hospitalized with acute respiratory infections, including 796 under the age of 18. 422 were hospitalized with pneumonia, including 199 under the age of 18. 144 pregnant women were hospitalized with acute respiratory infections and pneumonia. 92 patients are kept in ICUs.
