Health Ministry of Armenia urges the public to avoid mass events
A social commercial on preventive measures against swine flu was released with the support of Armenian Health Ministry and the UNICEF.
Experts urge everyone to wash their hands, avoid contact with infected persons and not participate in mass events.
The press service of Armenian Health Ministry said that as of 10:00 am on Thursday, January 14, 948 people were hospitalized with acute respiratory infections, including 796 under the age of 18. 422 were hospitalized with pneumonia, including 199 patients under the age of 18. 144 pregnant women were taken to hospitals with acute respiratory infections and pneumonia. 92 patients are kept in intensive care units. The swine flu death toll reached 11 in Armenia.
