NKR Defense Ministry: Azerbaijan fired over 3,000 shots at Armenian positions in a week
On January 10-16 the Azerbaijani side fired over 3,000 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers, 60mm mortars, and RPG-7 and AGS-17 grenade launchers on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of Defense Ministry of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
Besides, Azerbaijan made a subversive infiltration attempt on January 14 in the eastern direction of the line of contact. The frontline units of NKR Defense Army promptly halted the advance of the Azerbaijani subversive group by taking preventive measures. At least two Azerbaijani servicemen were neutralized, and the other members of the group took to flight. NKR’s Defense Army suffered no losses in the exchange of fire.
The frontline units of NKR Defense Army remain in full control of the frontline situation and confidently protect the army positions.
