Crystal Cruises cancels stops in Turkey for safety reasons
Crystal Cruises has canceled two upcoming stops in Turkey and will instead make stops in Greece for safety reasons, according to the Associated Press.
Ten tourists were killed in a suicide bombing Tuesday in Istanbul, the news agency said.
The company said its ship Crystal Symphony was scheduled to arrive in Istanbul and Kusadasi, Turkey, on April 24 and May 1 but the ship would be rerouted "in response to ongoing security concerns," the AP reported.
Crystal will also change the schedule for its new luxury yacht, Crystal Esprit, which is set to sail in April and November, the company told the AP.
In September, Celebrity Cruises said instead of its planned 2016 overnight stays in Istanbul, it would add additional ports of call, the AP said.
Royal Caribbean International has not made any changes to its schedules but says it is "closely monitoring" the situation in Turkey, the AP reported.
