Armenian government approves program to enhance transparency in mining industry
The USAID will assist Armenia in enhancing transparency in the mining industry. The decision was adopted at the session of the Armenian government today.
Minister-Chief of the Government Staff David Harutyunyan said that under a document signed between the governments of Armenia and the United States on November 12, 2015, a grant program aiming to improve transparency in the mining industry will be implemented in Armenia. The purpose of the program is to help the Armenian government enhance the industry’s transparency and accountability.
The program is expected to help increase the efficiency of the mining industry and promote cooperation between the state and society in the process of formulating a state policy.
