Health minister refutes information about highest cancer mortality rate in Armenia
“There were some reports that Armenia has the highest cancer mortality rate, but this is an absolute lie,” Armenian Health Minister Armen Muradyan told reporters today following the government session.
According to him, cancer death rates are higher in even some European countries that joined the EU since 2004.
Asked about rumors about cancer drugs imported into Armenia, the minister confirmed those rumors noting that very effective drugs have been imported as humanitarian aid and distributed to all oncological hospitals.
