Wall of Armenian school in Istanbul daubed with anti-Armenian graffiti
Anti-Armenian sentiment is on the rise in Turkey on the 9th anniversary of prominent Turkish-Armenian journalist, Agos newspaper’s editor Hrant Dink’s assassination. In particular, a wall of the Armenian Galfayan School in Istanbul was daubed with a graffiti “Suffering to the Armenians”, Ermenihaber reported.
Some Turkish policemen wore white berets during a rally held two years ago outside the office of Agos on the anniversary of Dink’s assassination. This circumstance drew condemnation of the rally participants as Hrant Dink’s assassin Ogun Samast also wore a white beret on the journalist’s murder day.
