Decent home as a beginning of new opportunities
In the frames of the visits of the housing project, VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and the President of “Fuller Center for Housing” Armenia Ashot Yeghiazaryan visited the Hovhannisyan family of Bagravan village, Shirak region, according to the press service of VivaCell-MTS.
The Hovhannisyans moved to Bagravan 40 years ago from the borderland village of Kharkov. They bought a three-room house without basic living conditions and tried to renovate it. At the time, the growing family was not able to do it. 23 years ago they could only afford replacing the roof, which also deteriorated in the course of time. Now a time for new opportunities has come for the Hovhannisyan family consisting of 10 people.
“This program is a real salvation for our family. We did not even have bedrooms in the house, let alone a kitchen or a bathroom. Now everything is changed: we have a decent home. Both of my sons are married and have their own families. The dream of our family has come true,” said Grigor, the family father.
“In this, as well as in other communities, the construction works were carried out with love and with full understanding of our important mission. With this program, we want to pass to our compatriots the belief that for finding solutions to their problems they should first overcome desperation. The more persistent they are, the sooner they will achieve the desirable results. People, who participated in the construction works, built the belief in a better future and optimism with each stone put in the walls of this house. The years will fade the memories of toil and hardships that this family had to go through,” said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
“Even a small opportunity given to the family reveals the hidden potential in it. The sons of this family have done the renovation, the house plan modifications and the design all by themselves. I am sure that this is only the beginning of new achievements for this family,’’ said President of “Fuller Center for Housing” Armenia Ashot Yeghiazaryan.
To remind, in 2015 VivaCell-MTS invested AMD 100 million for the housing project, and the “Fuller Center for Housing” Armenia has undertaken the implementation of the project. 93 families benefited as a result of the project.
