Vardeniats mountain pass in Armenia closed due to snowstorm and low visibility
There was no precipitation in Armenia as of 9:30 am today, January 21, according to the press service of Ministry of Transport and Communication.
Goris-Sisian motorway is partly covered with black ice. Vardeniats mountain pass (from the direction of Martuni) is closed due to snowstorm and low visibility.
The other motorways of republican and interstate importance are open to traffic.
Round-the-clock snow and ice removal work is underway to ensure safe driving conditions and widen roadways.
