Neighbors could not but hear shots fired at Avetisyans: Lawyer
“As a logical person, I find it strange that neighbors did not hear any noise. They could not but hear the shots,” lawyer Lusine Sahakyan who is a representative of the Avetisyans’ legal successors told reporters after today’s court hearing of the Permaykov case.
Ms. Sahakyan said that the neighbors keep silent as they realized that if they had made a noise at the time when shots were fired, little Seryozha would have remained alive.
Another representative of Avetisyans’ legal successors, Arthur Sakunts, said they will file a petition so that all the neighbors who live near the house of the Avetisyans will be questioned in the court.
“We noticed the neighbors’ illogical behavior – they could not but hear the shots. The neighbors are obviously scared, which is important for solving the crime. The preliminary investigation body should have taken proper actions in order to determine this curbing or restricting circumstance,” Sakunts noted.
According to him, the victims’ representatives asked the preliminary investigation body to conduct a test to establish if the sound of the weapon’s shot could be heard from that distance, but their petition was not granted.
