Hraparak: Director of variety and jazz art college fired due to financial abuse
Director of the State College of Variety and Jazz Art Levon Sahakyan has been dismissed after an audit of Armenian Ministry of Education and Science revealed financial abuse.
According to ‘Hraparak’ paper, a 40-page report was made regarding fake business trips and concerts in military units, and damage done to property. Sahakyan signed the report, thus admitting the violations.
“Some in the college are convinced that he spent the money not alone, but with the knowledge and participation of Robert Amirkhanyan who chairs the college council,” the paper notes.
