Several Armenian roads closed or barely passable
There were closed and barely passable roads in Armenia as of 9:00 am today, on January 25, according to the press service of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
Sotk-Karvachar, Berd-Chambarak, Verin Getashen-Madina, Lusashogh-Lanjar. Fantan-Jraber motorways and Vardeniats mountain pass are closed.
Barely passable are passes in Spitak region, Gyumri-Bavra, Amasia-Gyumri, Gyumri-Yerevan, Gyumri-Armavir, Gyumri-Vanadzor, Vanadzor-Gyumri, Goris-Sisian, Goris-Kapan, Meghri-Kapan motorways and roads in Aragatsotn province.
Areni-Khachik motorway (8th-9th km) is closed in one direction in connection with snow removal work.
The Ministry urges drivers to use the abovementioned roads only in case of emergency.
Stepantsminda-Lars highway is closed to all types of vehicles, Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry said.
