Deputy FM of Armenia: PACE report on Sarsang reservoir brings grist to Azerbaijani propaganda mill
The report on Sarsang reservoir, which was drafted by MP from Bosnia and Herzegovina Milica Markovic and adopted at the winter session of PACE today, brings grist to the mill of Azerbaijani propaganda, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan wrote on Twitter today.
“The PACE report on the Sarsang reservoir brings grist to the mill of Azerbaijani propaganda whose purpose is to frustrate the talks on a peaceful resolution to the Karabakh problem,” the deputy FM tweeted.
As was reported, PACE earlier today voted on the two reports. “Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water” – a scandalous report prepared by Milica Markovic, MP from Bosnia and Herzegovina - was adopted by 98 votes to 71, with 40 abstentions. Another controversial report, “Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan” prepared by British MP Robert Walter who holds Turkish citizenship, was rejected in a 66-77 vote.
