Hraparak: US philanthropist donates $1.2 million to Yerevan State University
‘Hraparak’ paper says citing its sources that Armenian Ambassador to the U.S. Tigran Sargsyan who was recently relieved of his position as well as the US affiliate of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party were engaged in litigation against a local law firm.
“An American philanthropist of Armenian descent left $1.2 million to Yerevan State University (YSU). Yet the law firm executing the man’s will had for months declined to transfer the money to YSU, saying that some wordings in the will were vague. We did not find out who that benefactor was, but we learned that the sum was already sent to YSU,” the paper writes.
