Everything is possible: National Security Service head Gorik Hakobyan responds to thorny questions of reporters
Head of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) Gorik Hakobyan said today that his term as NSS director could be extended. He said that in response to a reporter’s question during the visit to the Yerablur Military Cemetery.
When asked about the possibility of a merger of NSS and the Armenian police, he replied: “Everything is possible”.
Mass media representatives also asked G. Hakobyan whom he considers as his successor as NSS head after he resigns. “Myself,” Gorik Hakobyan curtly replied.
As was reported, on the occasion of Army Day marked in Armenia today, on January 28, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and the top leaders of the country, visited the Yerebalur Military Cemetery in Yerevan and paid tribute to the memory of Armenia’s sons who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Motherland.
