1,100 youths expected to visit Armenia as part of Ari Tun 2016 program
‘My Armenia’ Pan-Armenian Festival will be held in 2016. At its session on Friday the Armenian government approved the program of the festival aimed at promoting and disseminating Armenian culture, preserving the cultural identity, and strengthening the ties of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora.
By another decision of the government, the list of measures of Ari Tun (Come Home) program for helping Diaspora Armenian youths become familiar with the Homeland was approved.
Diaspora Minister Ms. Hranush Hakobyan said during the government session that in 2015, about 1,103 people from about 40 countries came to Armenia under the program involving 8 stages. Up to 1,100 youths are expected to visit Armenia this year.
