Many roads in Armenia closed or barely passable
There were closed and barely passable roads in Armenia as of 10:00 am today, on January 29, according to the press service of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations.
Roads in Shenkani community of Aragatsotn province, Sotk-Karvachar motorway, and Vardeniats mountain pass are closed.
Goris-Sisian and Goris-Kapan motorways are barely passable.
Nori-Geghi-Aragyugh, Goris-Sisian and Goris-Kapan motorways are partly covered with ice.
Areni-Khachik road (8th-9th km) in Vayots Dzor province is open in one direction.
Drivers are urged to use the abovementioned motorways only in case of emergency.
Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open to passenger vehicles with antiskid chains, Emergency Situations Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry said.
