Defense Ministry of NKR: Azerbaijan fired 3,500 shots at Armenia positions in past week
On January 24-30, according to the latest data of Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic (NKR), the Azerbaijani side fired about 3,500 shots at Armenian positions from small arms of various calibers and AGS-17 and RPG-7 grenade launchers on the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of NKR Defense Ministry.
Besides, around 4:30 am on January 26 Azerbaijani troops made an attempt of subversive-reconnaissance infiltration in the southern direction of the line of contact. The frontline units of NKR Defense Army foiled the Azerbaijani subversive group’s attempt to advance and forced the enemy to retreat to the previous positions. NKR’s Defense Army suffered no losses in the exchange of fire.
“The frontline units of NKR Defense Army remain in full control of the frontline situation and continue performing confidently their military duties,” the Ministry said in a statement.
